DSLR Price Point Reduction

I've been wanting to get a DSLR for ages now, but have never been able to even conceive of affording one, until now. There's a Canon EOS rebel at 750 bucks right now and that sounds like a really reasonable place to start. It's not a top end model obviously, but it's far from the low end of the market at this point. 12mp is hardly something to sneeze at. I really want that damn thing. I'd get tons more photos up here if I had it, that's for damn sure.
I'd go places just so I could take pretty pictures.
